Because I’m currently on a budget, I stopped buying lunch while working in the office in the city. Fortunately, the company I work for occassionally has us order food, if we have a meeting during lunch time or what we call a “working lunch.” It’s paid for by the company, of course! I definitely don’t turn those down.
On these rare days, we usually order from a nearby sandwich shop. I go for my usual, which is a Turkey Avocado sandwich with cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. Sometimes, I ask for Provolone cheese, roasted peppers, olives and sundried tomatoes.
This week, I had noticed my co-workers were also ordering side dishes and a drink. This time around, I also asked for a side of Pesto Pasta Salad with Kalamata olives. It was delicious! I turned down getting a drink, as the coffee and water in the office kitchen will suffice. Save the company a buck!
